We decided to put the smoothie challenge in action during the first month of The 90 Healthy Happy days, because many of you are suffering from sugar addiction after the Christmas holidays. Believe it or not studies showed that sugar is 90 percent more addictive than cocaine!! If you feel like you’ve been craving and just can’t seem to kick the sugar habit, we have some ideas on how you can do it.
First you need to realize that you will need to rid yourself of sugary empty calorie treats. I found that after 2 weeks of resisting the urge, I no longer crave them at all. The key is to understanding that sugar is an addictive substance. If you have an addictive personality you may want to stay clear from having treats of this nature. For many of you one is never enough. Once you trigger your taste buds you may not be able to stop at just one. We are all different, you know yourself best. *Along with your smoothie remember to drink water. Try drinking a litre of water as soon as you wake up before you eat anything. It will help get your body working and ready for digestion.
