• Detox Smoothies

    I hear people all the time raving about the latest and greatest detox. I realize that the fitness industry has basically fed the monster of wanting to eat bad food and still be able to get ripped fast. The only problem with this is that it doesn’t work long term and you will only end up in a vicious cycle. When is enough enough?

    Here’s what I have discovered. First, you don’t have to cut out everything you love to get the body you want and second nutritious food is so yummy. I don’t know why we resist doing what is so healthful and natural. Humans have a funny way of dealing with stress that is usually self caused. Let’s just keep it simple. I know when you do you will find life easier and you will find that you will no longer need DETOX products because you will be naturally detoxing daily by making better choices. Here are some of my favourite all natural Detox smoothies with natural and healthy ingredients.


    • ⅔ cup almond milk unsweetened ( If sensitive to this or milk just use water)
    • ¾ cup ice.
    • 1 ½ cups kale (chopped)
    • 1 stalk celery (chopped)
    • ½ red or green apple (cored and chopped)
    • 1 tbsp ground flax seed.
    • 1 teaspoon honey (optional) ( cut this during sugar cutting time)


    • 1 cup frozen berries
    • 1 cup spinach or kale
    • 1/2 cup bananas
    • 1 Tbsp flaxseed meal
    • 1 cup fruit juice mixed pomegranate & orange
    • optional: 2 Tbsp silken tofu for added protein


    • 2 cups frozen mixed berries
    • 1 medium banana
    • 1 large apple, cored
    • juice of 1 lemon
    • 3-4 inch chunk cucumber
    • ½ cup italian flat leaf parsley
    • 1 cup kale
    • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
    • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
    • 1 cup water, more if needed
