• Cold and Flu Season- All Natural Remedies

    Every time the season changes it seems that we go straight into cold and flu season. I want to give you some all natural ways to kick it out of your system and even prevent you from getting sick in the first place. Many of you may have already heard of these things, but it might be a good reminder if you aren’t feeling great right now. These ideas really do work and they are inexpensive and highly effective. Don’t run and get medication before you try these things out. Natural healing is always the best way when possible.

    All Natural Remedies

    You may have heard of some of these but maybe it will be just a good reminder before you head to the doctor for medication. We sometimes forget that a cold or flu can be concord with simple remedies. For most Cold and flus you will have to wait them out as they take their time to get out of your system but there are ways that you can speed up the process in the mean time.
    • Oil of oregano- Couple of drops under your tongue and wash it down with some water
    • Drink lots of water
    • Have herbal tea with ginger and lemon
    • Boil straight ginger and drink the tea add honey if you need
    • Have a hot bath
    • Take Vitamin C and D
    • Eat Garlic or take a garlic supplement
    • Rest as much as possible
    • Go for a steam bath
    • Eat oranges- Eating an Orange is better than drinking just juice
    • Eat your veggie soup
    • Visualize yourself being strong and healthy

    Preventing Illness


    Of course. preventing illness is a much better idea than fighting it once you have it, so here are some things that you will want to remember now since you know that cold and flu season IS upon us. 
    • WASH YOUR HANDS- There are germs everywhere. Even in your own house, your car and your personal spaces. You can’t avoid touching everything if you live in this world, germs do get shared. If you have kids this is even more important.
    • Drink water- Fill up your water bottles for the day and don’t give yourself an excuse to forget.
    • Instead of coffee in the afternoon change it out for a herbal tea. Look for something with ginger.
    • Eat lots of fruits and veggies. Foods that are high in vitamins and antioxidants are your friend when fighting the good cold and flu season fight.
    • Get your rest. Don’t let your health take the back burner or you will be put down whether you like it or not.
    • Take your vitamins regularly. It is recommended to take vitamin D especially if you live in the northern countries and don’t get as much sunlight during the winter.
